Personally I don't have any tips.

It's about active accounts. Most of the watchers I got back in my first 3 years here are long gone or have moved accounts. In the latter case, they've rewatched me under their new name and not cleared the watching list of their old account.

The only tip I can give you is not naming your new account after your sona or anything else that's subject to changes (as I said in a previous journal of mine).

ive moved accounts twice recently, and really got very little watchers back. i only have 50 or so?? and most of them are new people!!
id just make sure to make a journal, multiple if you can, and i think an image would work good too!!
to be honest, most of my watchers on my original account were all from a raffle i did anyway, so i doubt they were actually interested in my work.

i think it depends on how long you've been around! (so, how many of your watchers are active)
either way ill wait out summer because it's really low on traffic and people tend to mass delete journals and submissions when they log in after a long vacation, etc
