Yahoo itself isn't going anywhere, but the instant messenger isbeing shut down altogether.

It's not gone completely, it's just the standalone app that's no longer being supported. You might be able to still access it from aggregate IMs like Trillian, too.

• On mobile, get the new app for Android or iOS

Nope. Trillian won't be able to connect to it.
