Does it bother you when people constantly ask you for translations? When I say constantly I mean like, one per day. Like "oo, how do you say X?" "What's the title of this song mean?" "Is x like saying y?" You know. Stuff like that. I'm bilingual myself and I still couldn't tell you, since nobody ever needs me to say anything in Spanish. I just like pestering people who know Japanese 'cause I'm a huge fag and I wanna know just how frustrating it usually is to most people.

I'm generally not bothered unless I'm busy doing something. I'm willing to teach if others are willing to learn, because I know Swedish is one of the harder languages to learn.

Yea, it gets really annoying. Weebs always ask me to translate shit and half the time they don't provide the right kanji or the context of the sentence it's from and it's like "Bitch, go use Google translate if you're gonna half-ass me."

I'm not bilingual but I have friends that are and when I always ask them if they are busy first before I ask them the meaning of a word or don't understand grammar points in their languages. They don't seem to mind too much, they like that I am genuinely interested in perfecting their language. (French, Norwegian and German) >.>
I'm not fully bilingual yet, but people do this to me all the time whenever I tell them I'm a German major. sometimes I'm happy to help, like when other students ask me, but when random people do it I'm kind of like "please leave me alone..."

I speak some french and spanish. When french OR spanish happens without subs, it inevitably gets paused I get looked at expectantly.
