Jinx Syndrome

If there's one thing that I've noticed about my writing projects by now, the surest way to fail at them, is to mention that I'm planning to do them, or am actively working on them. Almost every time without fail, whenever I mention a project to someone, for one reason or another, it fizzles out and never gets done. In that regard, I think the best thing to do is simply finish the project first, then tell people about it, otherwise, I don't think that I'm ever going to finish them. It like when I mention something that I really want to talk about regarding an idea of mine, that somehow puts a jinx on it and it never gets done. In that regard, going forward, if there a long period of time between literary submissions on my site here, but I'm otherwise still active, such as adding things to favorites, it more likely than not means that I'm working on something important to me. Anyways, just letting you all know this incase there's a long period of time where I don't submit anything new regarding written stuff.
Oddly enough, this does not seem to always happen with drawing things. That seems to follow a different set of "rules," based on experiences in the past with my drawings. Odd how that works sometimes.
