So this is me officially saying I'm back in the pleasure baking game! And by pleasure I mean my pleasure!
Little update to my life. So I got a promotion/raise at my job I'm now official "assistant baker" and now I'm only baking switching between the breads/pastries and cakes. So that's so much fun! I have to go into work at 4am now so YAY FOR THAT! no seriously yay this is my dream. Although my hours shorted a little bit because of how quickly we work in the morning I'm getting more days at work now so hopefully that'll kind of even out. exciting!
Also I have legit awesome friends in Chicago now! Who actually wanna hang out with me! We all congregate at the comic book store one of them works at and they decided that they've had enough of me only taking about baking (and bringing them snacks) that they wanna try doing it! So we're gonna have bi-weekly PokeBake mondays! cause we all have it off. Today was the first one and they came to my place we made scones then while we waited for them to cook we went to Belmont Harbor (20 min walk) to catch pokemon! cause we're all nerds. we were out there for about 1 1/2 hours which was amazing. i caught a dratini AND a slowbro! So look forward to every other week a baked good popping up!
Also a little note on an even more personal note of my life. I've been seriously depressed for like 3 months. This last month has been the worst I've ever felt in a very very long time. To the point where I didn't talk to any of my friends that I didn't have to see face to face. It was/still is a very hard time for me. But honestly Pokemon Go is really helping me. It makes me happier just finding a pokemon that I enjoy. I'm talking to people again, people I don't know when we all meet at a lure. And now PokeBake mondays are happening. And... I think this is the happiest I've been since I moved to Chicago. Which is saying something big.
