I'm doing well on my end. Nothing to brag about, but I'm greatful to be employed, glad I can afford the rent with my mate and roommate, and that we have a pretty decent Apt. :) I also hope things turn around on your end, and you feel better soon.

It seems like finding a place to live and paying for it are nearly all one can do in the current market - so I'd say you're doing well.

I was doing normal pokemon catching in Platinum and caught a Shiny Quagsire. I've also made some very awesome friends and intimate aquaintences, and I got confirmation that a favorite artist of mine still has an image I requested a long while back :).

I didn't know what to say, and I'm still not sure. You have my condolences, if you want them, as well as my best wishes for things to get better. He might realize what he's doing and make a turn around - miracles have happened - but for the trouble and pain it's currently causing, I can only offer my empathetic regards.

Well, a shiny pokemon is sorta a dice roll every single time you encounter a pokemon, you roll the dice, and there is a 1 out of 8,192 chance that the pokemon will be shiny.

I'm glad you're more cheerful! It's not easy to maintain a positive attitude when things look bleak, but keeping up our spirits and our beliefs in times of hardship are what (I believe) show us our true character.

Also, you can take comfort in knowing that the fandom issues, and the University issues, are external ones - and even if they go totally sour, they won't effect you as a person or as an individual (at least I hope they don't).

I Watched some Left 4 Dead 2 vids and got UBER FUCKING EXCITED over how awesome it looked? e_e

For the first time in possibly years I lost sleep worrying about zombies after watching half of that damn L4D2 video...

I really phobic when it comes to zombies. I tried playing L4D to get over it, and it kind of worked when I was with people I knew and we were having fun. But once I saw that female zombie with blood dripping from her mouth - I was done...

I laid awake in bed for more then an hour jumping at every creak in my apartment...

I'm coming up on my 90 day temp period at Home Depot. While i work mya ss off every day, I still dread hearing that "I'm sorry, but we don't have a position open for you at this time." Cause I don't know what I am gunna do after this as there are no other jobs available in Michigan.

I know that feeling very, very well.

The last two places I worked were only temporary, and neither lasted 90 days. Now, I have a "career" at a banking institution, but it's a job I hate. I'd much rather be at Home Depot, moving pallets, stocking shelves, then sitting on my tail all day answering phones and picking away at computer systems I only barely understand.

Still, it pays the rent and pays for food. Needs must brook.

The sad thing is that I dislike my job there as well. While I am in the best sghape of my life in just 2 months, my job beats me up every day. I am currently working on changing that though, putting in applications at the various radio stations in town. Maybe I can get a small block on a weekend shift so it wont interrupt home depot if they decide to keep me.

I wouldn't mind working at a radio station (I love music), but I don't have a very interesting personality, and I would want to play what I want to play, not what others want.

If that is truely what you want, then see if you can find a local college radio station. They are not bound by the rules dictated for profit style radio business', can work around a flexible schedual, and you can play what you want. I did that for three years up at WMTU, and loved every minute of it.

My other option is to continue job hunting through various companies. With the recently aquired retail experience, and other warehouse experience, maybe start looking into a stocking position. Getting something third shift would be very nice.

I just took a new job at AT&T that pays more and has no heavy lifting. I'm really looking forward to that. Working in retail is giving me acid reflux problems due to stress. Four more days and I take a week vacation and then new job!

And we paid off a credit card last week. A 19% interest one. That felt great.

I've been lucky in that I've only had one credit card in my entire life, and it's paid off.
As for the job - I'd relish a job where I got to use my hands. Call-center work is poison to me.
But, it's paying the bills. And I don't know if there's anything else in Tucson that I could do sort of crime.

Its all a matter of perspective, I guess. Yes, the new job is in a call center, but its much better to me than being stuck in grocery retail as I have been for over eight years now.

well... i just came more or less out of a short but, vary, vary, bad depression. that was at a time looking like it was gunna be my last o.=.0 (yeah, in a vary bad way...) so now i am trying to tie up the loose ends, that i have created from my absence of school, and the worries that i made for some of those around me. and ill proberly need to start on some sort of medication, to. though i am not to happy about that...

and now the good stuff... two days ago i told my mom about me being dragonkin, and she took it well. relly... also, theres LARP again in 8 days, so thats nice, to... and only 3 days later, ill go on vecation, whit a friend

I know a few otherkin, some of whom are like family to me.

Coming out with that kind of bombshell can be both nerve-wracking, and potentially heartbreaking. I haven't managed the courage to come out to my parents, but they've gotten enough hints that I think they already know.

Depression is a strange animal that I'm not always comfortable talking about - it effects so many people in such different ways, but it's always traumatic, especially to friends and family. Making the turn back around is really tough, and there will always be ups and downs, but the alternative is nothingness.

A bad mood can come and go, but death is permanent.

Well, its some kind of thick liquid that has nano-thingies in it. Basically you first rub off the upper shell of your car's paint, then some kind of polish to make it shiney.

Needs a hell of muscle power, but its worth it.

Heh, join the club... Just about everyone I know that ever went to college has a mountain of debt. They make it so expensive that massive amounts of loans are the only way to get a degree.

Kudos on Florida though. I don't think I would ever want to live there ("that's where old people go to die"), but I hope you enjoy yourself.

1) I'm currently typing on a laptop that some way-overgenerous totally-cool anonymous entity done gave me. ^_^

2) Today, after (I'm not making this up) 2 hours waiting, I now have an official AZ driver's license.

3) I've have something like 10 doodle ideas in the past 2 days, which is a nice change from staring at blank paper going "Uhhhh, eerrrrm, I dunno."

4) I saw a different lizard today, a pretty cool-looking stripey-yellow-necked doober (no, I don't has a pic--all Arizona lizards be camera-shy!).
