His Uncle who takes care of him, keeps him safe, who actually went out of his way to make sure Julien had friends growing up; even if that means he did need to pay them, an Uncle who actually respected and made sure everyone knew Julien was male and a prince not a princess.

How else can you explain Julien being a 'party prince' without any backlash or punishment from his Uncle, unless you count the 'punishments' he receives so that he CAN go out and party.
