OK so mechacon is coming up in The big easy. And a friend was kind enough to pre-register me for it the bad news.

They are not going and when I ask why they said it a good chance for me to get out of my safe zone and not just go to the side with them and not meet new people.

Also a Facebook group I've kinda been apart of and wanted to do things with like meets is going to be there which is why my friend did it in the first place.

So any tips for someone going to a con for the first time and with no support.
