Riddle me this Batman.

If you spend, let's say 5 to 10 hours drawing a commission for your customer who paid a lot of money for it. Then, someone comes along and they trace that picture. After which, they recolour it and post it on their account WITHOUT giving you credit for the original work. To top it all off, they didn't ask YOUR permission to trace it.

I don't think you would appreciate it very much but I don't know you. So, maybe you don't give a damn if someone would trace your artwork without permission.

Taking inspiration from someone else's work is okay. TRACING & STEALING is not okay.

Its quite simple, you ask permission from the artist first and then if they say yes you can use their art as a template when you post the artwork you credit them in the artist comment. That way you dont get accused of tracing.

No he TRACED my artwork without permission. theres a different. using art to practice is indeed perfectly fine, but when you can overlay one on top of the other and theres no difference thats plagarism so there is actually an issue with that

To be fair, he should go one step further and actually post a link to the image he traced or "used as a pose reference" within each image.

Ok, tracing I can understand. But copyrighting poses, that makes no sense to me.
