Anthrocon 2016 Wrap-Up!!! (sorry this is a bit late xD)

So it has been awhile since I posted here!!! :D I hope everyone has been well. :3 I got to go to Anthrocon again this year! At one point it was up in the air if I would get to go, but we thankfully did. And I had a blast!!!
So Anthrocon came and left, and it felt like the weekend just flew right by! A lot happened at AC, but I will recap what happened!

sycoskunk/Tooth/Samantha, her friend Jackie / Maggots and I took two cars and drove all the way to Pittsburgh Thurs afternoon, and didn't get to arrive until late Thurs night. SyCo and Maggots went to get their pre-reg badges and got there just in time before it closed. Hyro and I stayed in the room for foods and to relax since Hyro still wasn't feeling well from going to the ER just the night before (SyCo and I had to rush him to the ER the night before AC (Wed Night). He finally felt a bit better so I threw on Pearl as a partial and tried rushing to the DLCC to see if we could get there in time for pre-reg. Pre-reg closed earlier this year (10 pm instead of 2 am), so sadly I didn't make it in time to get my badge. SyCo and Maggots took the SWAG bag Hyro and I made for 
kagemushi and dropped it off at CON OPS that night, as well as the cookies that we made that were a part of our contract with him. We just hope he liked them <3
We woke up early Fri morning and decided we would just have to get our badges before our ADC meet. We scrambled to gather all the boxes of items for the meet and whatnot up, and thankfully our awesome friends
Tundra.the.angdrag and her BF helped us drag the boxes to the meet. It was a hectic morning, but it all eventually panned out. After dropping off the boxes and talking to a few people who showed up super early (Aztec 
FrostBiteDAD and some of her friends :3) Hyro and I rushed to get our badges and suit up for the meet back at the Doubletree while SyCo and Maggots remained back at the room to set up.
Hyro and I ran as soon as we got our badges back to the room. I helped Hyro suit up first then he went off to the meet after being suited up and getting a quick brushing and spraying his suit down really well with Wash Your Paws spray. I then suited myself up in Pearl. I wasn't able to zip up my feet but I just rushed quickly to the meet. Hyro was a bit late but managed to make it there not long after it was slated to start (11 am). I was probably 15 min - 1/2 hour late, and ran there as fast as I could. The meet was filled near to capacity! I didn't expect that many people to show up (it only said 50 some online on their website), but we definitely got more than expected!! We cannot thank Uncle Kage enough for all his help making this meet happen, and everyone enough who came, and to the awesome con staff who were super helpful with our meet!!!
The meet was a bit crazy but it went well and smoothed out. The SWAG bags went quickly, and some people could only get a badge and keychain. Hopefully next year we can get the funds to make even more. We just didn't expect that huge of a turn out!!!
I ran around in Pearl a bit to various tables to try to make people feel more comfortable at the meet and try to see all the awesome faces of everyone there, while Hyro was hosting the meet. I sadly didn't get to go to all the tables to see all the awesome people that came, and we love you all! But I got pulled up on stage by Hyro and had to stay up there for the rest of the time until the photoshoot. Hyro also called all the people up on stage who helped make our meet happen - for if it wasn't for them the meet would not even have been possible. ;3; ♥
Hyro also threw a raffle for a free custom AD/DAD plush, and no. 88 won from the raffle. So grats to them for winning!!! After the raffle a lot of people started to leave. A lot of the suiters stuck around tho but a lot of the non suiters left.
We had a photoshoot for all the suiters only first, then afterwards anyone else remaining that chose to get in the photo - but none of the non suiters seemed to want to get in the photo, so we only had a photo done with suiters. Overall, the meet I felt went well, even if it was crazy.
Hyro and I were concerned about it being fun for others that were there. We really hope people liked the meet, and hope that next year we can try to get a longer time frame for the meet and also try to get the chance to get their earlier to interact with more people there, and have fun along with them! :D
After the meet Hyro and I suited around the con a bit. Hyro was still getting used to suiting and overcoming his sickness so we had to take frequent breaks, and I also overheated a few times and had to de-head. We ate lunch in the Dealer's Den since we were super hungry after our meet, chatted and met some awesome people, and just chilled and relaxed. We later on went back to our room in the evening to desuit. We invited some people over to play games and chat and have fun.
We got to hang out a lot with Ethan and Bangarang the DAD, Steven/Zener,
GunMutt (Karoo/Kaylie) and her BF AJ (forget your fursona's name, sorry hun ;3;), tundra.the.angdrag, her BF (who passed out on the floor Sat night and slept through our CAH game, lol), and others. You guys are what helped make this con for us, thanks so much for all of your help!! And Kaylie/Karoo, I cannot thank you enough for helping Hyro get to the meet Friday morning. Thank you for helping him since I had to stay behind to suit in Pearl. ;3; ♥ Love you girlie and I cannot thank you enough again for that! Also a huge shout out to Tundra and her BF for helping us bring the boxes of stuff Friday morning - thank you so much guys!!! We cannot thank you enough. Next year more of our admins will be coming to AC to help us, but thanks again for all of your help this year since we were so short staffed this year.
Since I wasn't able to wear Snow yet this con as I still have to pad her up and the head keeps slipping on me, I let my friend Jackie/Maggots wear her on Sat night since she wanted to see what a realistic suit was like and her fursona is a canine hybrid. She had a lot of fun at the rave (she was a bit drunk when she went xD) and she also went to the Masquerade in her Sat. night. :) I eventually need to pad up Snow's head and try to make a bodysuit for her. I am also going to make new handpaws and feet, and already have an idea in mind in how I am going to make them. :D
I sadly missed
Sharpe19's meet, but I def plan to make it up to her next year and go there in fullsuit!!! After we make our premade AD suit, I plan to order white fur now that I know what furs I wanna get for her, and remake her bodysuit, feet and paws and a new tail myself!
On Saturday Hyro and I suited up a bit more during the day, then came back that evening to chill, eat foods and relax inside with friends again. We did encounter some drama though from people on Friday and Saturday when he was in Hyro. I didn't have many problems myself aside from maybe one, but he kept getting people that were rather very rude to him - they kept at first thinking he was "Telephone" then upon realization that his character was entirely different from hers in patterns, etc they would just say "oh that's not Telephone!!" then turn and walk away.... which really upset and hurt him. :( Not only because he was mistaken for her, but instead of at the very least being nice about it, a looot of people were very rude to him in the way they reacted when they realized he wasn't Telephone, and instead of complimenting his suit and character, they just walked away disinterested at that point or said some smartass remarks, some even claiming he looked 'just like her' and acted very snarky about it. I had to nicely tell a few people off (correcting them mostly that his character is named Hyro and stuff). We did encounter one very rude individual on the shuttle to the con/hotel that was very snarky about him "looking just like Telephone but not being Telephone." I got very heated at how people were treating him... Hyro was too nice to say anything but I decided to say stuff for him and even broke character a few times to do so. I do apologize if you were one of these people, but I guess I am just defensive when it come to my BF, and felt that at the very least you could have been nicer in the way you reacted when you realized it wasn't him... ;-; Like seriously, I get you guys want to see her but dude, don't be so rude just because he isn't her. We do thank the people that at least did compliment his suit, even once they realized he wasn't her and his colors/patterns were distinctly different. ♥ All credit for his adorable and amazing suit head goes to Pawie Paws!!! Who was able to make it to our meet this year and is an adorable and amazing person!!
Also, I need to give a shout out to Hyro and I's spawn/durgon child Baldur (owned by
honeycreeperangeldragon- who we were able to chat to a bit at AC this year. xD ♥ It was great finally getting to chat with you in person. And also to 
PawiePaws / Yvette who made Hyro's head, and is the sweetest lady I have ever met! ;3; ♥ Love you hun and thanks so much for everything - for your friendship, for making Hyro's head and for coming to our meet!!! We are sorry we could not make your photoshoot but there is always next year. :3
Also a huge shout out to Aztec ( FrostBiteDAD)! Your new head is adorable!! And cannot wait to see the unboxing once the touch ups that need to be done are done to the suit, and we had a lot of fun chatting with you on Fri when you came to our meet and the various other times we ran into you in the Dealer's den and sat and chatted and elsewhere. We are so happy to have met you and you and your friends are just too sweet!! Hope to see you there next year so we can hang and hopefully suit around together!!!
Hryo and I stayed in Sat night and played CAH with Karoo, her BF AJ, Bangarang, Ethan, Tundra and her BF. We also chatted about random jazz and just relaxed and had fun. And ofc, there are those EMUS!! DAMN YOU, EMUS!!! XD
On Sunday I went with SyCo and Maggots to the Dealer's Den and I finally got to shop around. I got one of MaryMouse's Certified AD badges (she also had the DAD ones at her stand for those that were Dutchies), and I got an Umbreon hat, some Pokemon buttons, and a Mew necklace!! I also finally ran into Cy, who had a gift for me, and presented me with this adorable Pearl bag!!! That was full of snacks, a drink and other goodies. I cannot thank her enough and it really made my day, after some of the drama that occurred the previous day with some people. ;3; <3 Thanks sooo much again!!!
I also ran into my friend Boo/Emily/
harvanger who gave me an adorable Magikarp plushie, and I cannot thank her enough for it! Pearl loves all things FEESH! <3 It also really made my day, and I even started karping my BF with the adorable Magikarp plush you gave me! He sits alongside Pearl Jr at home with me!! Love you girlie, and hopefully next year if you get to go to AC we can hang out more together!
I also ran into my friend Nikolai aka
Raver-Neonlight, who I gave a huge hug to as I know he has been going through a lot. ;-; We also took a photo together, and even tho our meeting was brief (and I am sorry I could not meet up with you Sun night) I hope if he is able to go next year since I know he told me he might not be able to, that we can hang out more! I want to make it up to you since we couldn't that night since I crashed for the trip the next day.
And I also finally get to take a photo with my friend Midoriko the Dutch AD owned by
1dayatatime92, who is a super sweetheart, and she even called me Senpai... ;3; ♥ You are too sweet and I hope we get to hang out at more cons next year!!!!
Overall though I had a blast!!! Despite some minor drama things went super well!!! I definitely look forward to next year's AC!!!

Sorry to hear about the trouble Hyro got. Hopefully it wont happen again. Looking forward to next year. Keep being awesome.
