The new Karnivool album, Sound Awake, is awesome. Seriously. It exceeded my expectations.
Did it exceed my hopes, though? Is it better than Themata, their first album? I'm honestly undecided. I've listened to Sound Awake twice now, Themata dozens of times, and it's not enough to make a judgement. I've got a feeling that Themata has slightly better internal consistency, but then, Sound Awake is more awesome each time I hear it.
