Anything is concidered an art. If my fractals can be considered an art form, minus the fact that they arent allowed to be posted on FA, I say fffff the bungwholes

I think its an art. And look, it's your right to post it. If Second Lifers are allowed to whore the space with pictures of them yiffing each other, I think you should be allowed to post the FUCK out of your Poser art. If anything, you're more of an "artist" than they are.

I LOVE your art. Keep posting it, even if the mighty Dragoneer himself steps in and tells you to stop. NO-ONE should keep the 3-d medium from being obscured.

if you do it because it's what you love to do, then keep doing it until you get so damn good that even people who dislike it say "this is fucking awesome".

Art and what that word truly means is in the eye of the beholder. Scott McCloud defines art as any behavoir that doesn't involve survival or reproduction. While that's an extremely liberal definition it does imply that any creative endeavour whether it involves clay, paint, music, mouse or tablet is art. I work with people everyday that see what I do for them as design where I look at it as an illustration, yet we're pretty much looking at the same thing on the same piece of paper. If you enjoy it, do it. It's that simple. If people are going to give you crap about it, well, in pretty good company with Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh. Neither of them weren't appreciated in their own time either but their works hang in museums the world over and some fetch a hefty chunk of change if they end up in the private market.

i get sick of it too...course, it really annoys me when i hear people say that daz art isnt as good as poser, cuz its a free program...

One person's junk is another person's art medium. It's all a matter of perspective. I found the fractal art I've seen around here to be quite pretty and 'artistically' done.

What program used is all up to the person creating and I can see no differences in the finished products. As long as the piece looks good, it shouldn't matter.

Art is in the eye of the beholder. Half the stuff I see in the downtown art gallery I'd never consider art, but folks see things differently. Unfortunently when one of the gallery managers thinks its not art, all the cronies tend to follow suit.

it´s good experiment with a lot of kinds of art, your 3d jobs are really good (actually i still trying to learn to use DAZ with poor results n_n and keep it with my hyperbasic Bryce knowledge). If you like it, still did it, and be much better every time. Whatever the other say no must to worry you, keep it with the good jobs

Art is more than just the sum of parts, because when you think of it, unless you fabricate everything you use from the base materials, its always going to be your artistic vision made with something that someone else made, which is why all these naysayers have to look beyond the nuts and bolts and focus on the end product, not whats used to make it. Nobody else except those genuinely interested, or the nitpickers care as long as the end work looks nice.

Things like Daz and Poser are nothing more or less than tools. Like any tool, what really matters is what you do with it.

Now, they do tend to put a larger load on composition because they remove or simplify some of the technical aspects. However, this is a recurring theme that is at least as old as the use of any tool more advanced than a brush.

You're supposed to keep doing something if you really enjoy it. ^_^

That's the bare bones right there. It doesn't and shouldn't matter if anyone else likes the things you do - all that matters is that you like creating them.

people will say the darndest things when they're jealous of talent. The true question is are you doing something that you enjoy? If the answer is yes, and you aren't infringing on someone else's happiness, then Nothing should prevent you from doing what you love.
