QUESTION: Where do you find talent?

Harken to me, my subjects!

I'm looking for talent for a few really big projects, but I find myself at a loss for where to start. I'm curious if I have any followers that are like film majors or know something about producing, who would know where I could go to contract out high-quality animation (2D and 3D), 3D model design, rigging, texturing... stuff like that? And at the same time, I don't want to break the bank. I can't pay like Hollywood prices.
Thoughts on this? Please NOTE ME (not comments) if you have suggestions. (I still want to keep my plans a little bit secret)
Thanks :)

I've seen some very talented 3D artists recently (as I kinda go looking for them on behalf of Akifu toys), but there seems to be a cutoff point between being a really good artist, and being a great artist who charges ten times as much all of a sudden. I wish you luck in your endeavour, though, and shall keep my ear to the ground.
In my experience, furry artists actually are able to charge a premium. "Regular" artists, I think, you can get a better deal on talent. They don't have a huge fanbase clamoring after them to do commissions. :P
So I think DeviantArt might be a good option. Tho I looked last night and couldn't find anything that really appealed to me. If you're willing to take this to notes, I'd like to exchange some ideas with you and see if we can explore some folks. Note me? <:)
I am mostly looking for professional-quality model making and 2D or 3D animation for video games and movies or web series. Depending on the project, characters may or may not be furry. But I'm going more for the toony than the photo-realism angle. Interest in sci-fi would also be helpful. Animating machines like ships and robots, rather than just organic characters, would be helpful.
