Well to be fair, it seems to be in beta mode still.

No, it's a bad side due to other reasons. Namely going back on established rules, preventing people from posting topics the mods don't like (such as corrupt mod behavior), and nuking a thriving 10 year old art gallery to both cover varka's ass and to funnel more people to that site.

Odd... that never stopped me from enjoying the site tho, even with all that info. i feel the site has improved from what it started out as. and i'm rather excited for more fixes that are coming. I guess i find it odd how you and others let what these admins do in there personal life choices effect your chances of using there site. but to each there own, its always good to get opinions.

This wasn't personal life. Varka KILLED a website with exclusive content that was running fine for over 10 years, just so he could try and force more people to FN.

I lost a bunch of friends and contacts because of that asshole.

I say use the website because you're interested in it hon, don't dodge a site because of someone else's issues. (no offence friend.) none of those issues will destroy anyone's experience trying out the site. Most of us haven’t even heard of herpy.net, so I say if you want to check it out, go for it. if not then don’t.

Of all the sites, why'd it have to be FN? Trying to browse that site is a huge headache. Please feel free to spam us here!

it just takes some getting used to, tho they seem to have fixed a lot of the browsing issues. some are still there, but i can see that being fixed.

As to why? i just have an interest in it, been sitting on the site for a while early in its life, and tho "why not post more."

Don't get me wrong, there are some nice things, especially for artists
and uploading, and it allows for videos and larger uploads. But trying
to navigate it is a headache and a chore, not to mention it eats up
resources on your computer like crazy. Just to save a pic I have to
open it three times and open another window. I can't browse through
pictures like here or other furry sites, I have to view all pictures at
once, loading a batch at a time which drags my computer down to a
crawl. I can't clear a certain number at a time and let the new ones
load, the only option clears the entire inbox! To quote someone
else "it really feels like they're trying to to be facebook than an
art site".

ho i heard that facebook comment before! and yeah i can see what you mean. i guess i'm keeping an open mind here, hoping maybe they will fix those issues, perhaps test it out now and see if there is a difference? they updated yesterday.

Don't forget that it still strips filenames and replaces them with machine-side random garbage.

I will note that they have fixed the new submissions page, you can now remove them individually.

I don't really plan to use furrynetwork. I barely use the other flavor of the month sites I joined as it is.

Does that mean you are going to use this site less for posting your art work?

If you are worried about spamming the site, remember that 3-5 posts a day is not even close to spamming.

Gill Spam is much better than Email Spam
