Tay was born an earth pony to a single mother and never actually knew his father. BY the time he knew his fathers name even he was already 16 and wanted nothing to do with him as he felt like, and still feels like, his father never wanted anything to do with him. He was raised by his mother and his grandmother whom he learned to respect dearly as they guided him through his life. Both of them supported Tays dreams for the most part and encouraged him to draw like he loved to do. Tay enjoys building things with legos and drawing and has since very early on in life and has had a passion for doing so. He continues to draw to this very day, improving his skills as best he can and he enjoys socializing with other artist online. When he talks with other artist he especially enjoys talking about role-plays, backstories, and just generally bouncing idea off of one another. Despite all this however he will admit he does not color his drawing as often as he should, mostly due to just never getting around to it, but he enjoys doing sketches all the same.
Due to being bullied through out his young life Tay tends to be somewhat asocial and a bit of a loner. This make him seem unapproachable at times and some even assume he could be mean. With Tay in it important to not judge a book by its cover however as once he warms up to others a bit he does come out of his shell and then is a great person to have a chat with. He has very few friends and actually prefers it that was as if asked he says he would rather have a few good close friends then 100 distant friends any day. But another thing that came with being bullied is he taught himself to not let people get to him and therefor sees getting bullied as something that made him tougher, but only because he had to become tough so other peoples words would not hurt him. Tay is empathetic to people who are or have been bullied as he knows what it feels like and is sympathetic to anyone who has gone through it. Due to not wanting to show weakness however, thanks to being bullied he learned people prey on weakness, he can come off as being stiff and emotionless at times which can make him hard o read at times but despite that he is listening and he is caring.
He got a job when he was 15, and like many others, started with working fast food specifically at a burger joint and he worked hard for years there until he was 20. Tay did grow bitter towards that job however as he was constantly berated by his bossed and never got a raise or just recognition. Finding a new job was tough for him as nobody seemed to want to hire him thanks to not having much experience, that is until he got a call from a pizza place in town. He got the job interview and his heart was filled with joy when he was able to go home knowing he had a new job that already paid him more then he was making. Tay put in his 2 weeks at the burger joint and got full time hours right away when he showed how good he was at the pizza place. Tay continues to work there pridefully and customer tell him all the time he makes some of the best pizzas in his home town of Trotterdale. He enjoys the praised but works hard to keep his reputation up personally feeling that if your gonna do something you should do it the best you can. Tay enjoys his work but it does not mean it comes without stress or hardship and will be the first to say he is far from having superhuman skills. He has gotten flustered in the middle of a rush and handed out wrong pizzas several times in his work life which tend to eat at him the rest of the night when it happens. Thankfully though Tay makes very few mistakes when making pizzas, but everyone makes mistakes sometimes is what he tries to remember.
Tay has his pros and cons like any other pony and wont deny that fact. Tay likes to be active and go for walks in the middle of the night, however he does not like being out in the wilderness due to not enjoying getting dirty. Unlike most boys Tay does like like worms, dirt or bugs, and in fact gets grossed out by them ad often times wont even touch them and he's been that way since a child that and he did research and know how disgusting some bugs can actually be. Tay is deathly afraid of heights thanks to a fall he had when he was 11 where he fractured his skull and almost broke his neck, he used to love climbing tress until that incident but ever since then his fear of heights has only gotten worse. Tay can tend to be a bit of a bore not wanting to do thing overly dangerous as he knows what risk somethings could hold if they wee to go wrong. But Tay is usually an expert when it comes to games especially if they're ones he is interested in and follows, which can be a headache at times when he is explaining the in depth lore behind games to you.
