Why you should never jump to conclusions

So there was controversy regarding this woman choosing to wear a veil while teaching. Watch the video to understand why the controversy is pretty much fabricated.

Stuff like this is why I always assume a headline or any news really is completely skewed. People are predictable and predominantly stupid :P

Well, so, what do you mean with fabricated? You say that this was made up to start controversy?
But I will say this:
IMIDATING.
It's also why I don't watch any court tv shows like judge judy, etc.
"Do I have to answer the question?"
... You just did, you stupid woman.
...Gotta love Logic Bombs.
But, yeah... "BUSTED!"
other than that...i hope she gets to go on with her life and all is quiet....^^
I really shouldn't have read the youtube comments.
This entire thing appears to be her way of making an artificial controversy. An argument could be made for this based off how she reacted to the "When you were first interviewed..." question, which she clearly did not want to answer.
I do appreciate BBC News more than I do CNN or Fox News, simply because they aren't afraid to ask appropriate questions. I often times find that American news stations tend to automatically assume that the company or the government is to blame in situations such as this; they prefer to believe that it is unlikely to be the individual's fault.
Interesting find Maf.
"Because you're spitting in the face of every woman who has ever died or been brutalized because of that horrible garment you arrogantly choose to wear out of total ignorance, honey," I reply.
I've heard of several incidents like this, and it very often turns out that the Muslim at the center of it knew exactly the controversy that would follow, which was probably their true motivation all along. Muslims would very much like to be seen as victims of a cruel and uncaring Western value system that discriminates against them based on their faith. In reality, Islam's goal is to force the rest of the world to obey their hateful, violent laws and to ignore everyone else's. It reminds me rather a lot of how American conservatives and evangelicals try to present themselves as victims of those mean liberals and atheists, when any sane mind can easily see just how much power they currently have and how much more they want.
Priceless...
Then... what the hell is it good for? Fashion?
The funniest part, IMO, is hearing her say "y'know" repeatedly. So much for tradition.
....tell people that when they ask about mundane stuff and when the big stuff comes up, they won't believe you anyway. In two words, plausible deniablility.
