I disabled comments on the last journal just to prevent any potential long-winded and unnecessary debates. That isn't why I made the journal.
Specifically, I meant to say I hope I'm not the only one who calls out someone who is being openly sexist, and tells them to stop being an asshole.
Yes, misogyny/misandry exists on all spectrums. But that doesn't mean we have to put up with it. And nobody saying anything enables the hatred.
Yes, some fears are valid. But it still doesn't give you the right to shit-talk the/any gender that literally surrounds you on the earth.
So I guess what I was saying is.. Would you stand up to someone who is being an obvious jerk? Even a complete stranger?

Im usually really loud and obnoxious when it comes to defending things like womens right to wear whatever or mens right to show feelings and trans rights to fucking exist. Unfortunately im also a 5'3" cis female so i do have to take stock of my surroundings before i yell something in public.
Thats not to say that if i fall into a certain demographic im going to get upset if people want to vent in a safe space. If im in a group of women that want to complain about men then thats fine. If the group of gay people im hanging with wants to complain about straight people, sure. Its about venting. Its about being in a safe space with people like your own to get out your frustration at a cishet patriarchy driven society.
