I want YOUR opinions on Patreon *Please Read*

I'm not making a patreon so no worries there. I -might- or another service
like it for once I can FINALLY start my Childrens Books. Anyway I would like
to see your opinions on Patreon.
Please EXPLAIN and not just super short answers. I want to know things like, what
you like about it, what you dislike, or how you feel about how some people use the
service.
I'm doing a little research on Patreon and other services that are like it. Like I said
and I have mentioned before I want to make kids books. It has always been a dream of mine
to make kids books for kids that normally aren't targeted by books that already exist.
In other words kids with disabilites or family with disabilities, kids with single parents, kids
with depression or other mental disorders. I want to be able to do charity work as well that
is centered around kids books. So I had plans to make a Patreonish thing to help with the funding
and be able to give patrons nice rewards for their support.
Anyway I REALLY want to see what your opinion on Patreon and how people USE patreon.
Also before anyone asks... NO when I make my patreon there will be NO paywalling. Last
time I made a journal like this some people assumed this and tried to cause trouble in the comments
about it. I do not believe in Paywalling on Patreon and never will.
So let me know your opinions please! I look forward to reading your responses.
That said, I feel like some people can be overbearing on their advertisement. Sometimes simply by putting too many logos on too much content, or paywalling it entirely.
I've also noticed that while some artists are extremely generous in their rewards, they can find themselves overworked when too many patrons join. My personal opinion would be to tailor rewards to both a small and large group, plan ahead and all.
Sorry if this is jumpy or nonsensical, I'm kinda tired.
