Stella is home & Recovering
Im a catdog, if i bark, i also meow. So there!
Made it back safe, got home last night from Megaplex. It was a pretty fun con. I would rate it 9/10.
Getting to Orlando Florida was not easy. My first flight was late 45 minutes, the 2nd flight i missed and had to wait over an hour for the next plane, then that plane was detoured to Tampa for another hour.
I was supposed to get to the hotel before or around noon, i didn't get there til after 6pm.
The hotel was beautiful, was a great choice for the con to happen there. The layout of the con was convenient, all the events were close knit which was nice. Got free breakfast all the days i was there, free alcohol from 5-7 all the nights i was there and their food in the restaurant was pretty tummy.
Bummed i didn't make it into the Dance Comp or the Floor Wars. I really wanted to dance after all this time of recovering from injuries. I was on the list for both as a stand by, bit no such luck. Stella is due for a comeback eventually.
I at least got to take part in the fursuit parade, got to show off a Disney shirt for the charity auction and even though the live Funday Pawpet Show was canceled they still did fursuit subservient's and i got to do that. I hope i can find a video of that soon, cause you all gonna laugh at the part wee had to be magicarp.
I watched the dance comp, the floor wars and the fursuit games and rhubarb/cosmic ruin everything. lol
I danced a little bit at the raves. Sad that Uncle Cage never showed up, didn't see Buddy either. However i made some new friends and saw old ones i meet 2 years ago. So that was great!
I managed to buy a few small things at the con. Got this years shirt, a shot glass with the con logo, a Team Mystic badge, a blue light up collar and blue see through claw necklace and a con badge with Stella's traits and stuff.
I think the worst thing to happen was the moment i was leaving for the airport, a fur fell from the 4th floor. I was just outside the front doors from the lobby and i saw a shadow fall down the wall, i had no idea it was a person til i was told and as much as i wanted to go help i had to get in the car and go before the ambulance and police showed up. I got word that the guy left the hotel alive, but im not sure how alive or if they made it or not. i sure hope they did.
So i got to the airport, went through TSA with no problems and when i get on the plane, the front inside part of the window was in my seat, i turned to the airline staff and i said, "There's a window in my seat, this safe?". The guy just grabbed it and said maintenance would be on shortly to pop it back in place. I almost wanted to walk off the plane.
Now i am home and i think its safe for me to say i didn't get con crud but I am dealing with severe gravitational oedema. Never had this happen before. My feet feel like fiery clubs and walking is annoying. I've been drinking water and cranberry juice with lemon and icing/elevating my feet too. I want this uncomfortable swelling to go away.
Yesterday was my Birthday, Im 27 now. WOOT!
After some more needed rest, current commissions will resume and commissions in general will be open.
I hope you guys had a great weekend.

The fur games were just silly to watch furs try to balance a ball between their muzzles and walk around chairs.
The plane with the window not in where it needs to be was freaky.
And thanks! *hugs and purrs*
And thanks
I know Kage is dealing with his father dying but curious where Buddy has been.
My feet have mostly gone back to normal, a little puffiness remains.
And they promised all was fine with the window, they were right, the plane didn't crash. lol
Indeed, I can respect a man's need for privacy after something like that. But I also heard something about the hotel being responsible for him not coming because they heard about him drinking wine and having some kind of charge for open bottles. Whatever the case may be, he has my sympathy.
I'm glad that they've healed! You should be back up and dancing in no time!
lol true, but I don't like heights to begin with XD I've also never flown before so I think I'd already be on edge!
The fur in question fell from the 4th floor and indeed he was on drugs and/or drunk. I believe he is alright and recovering.
Im glad i have healed too, having very angry feet has made things difficult and i had to force myself to be lazy. I can procrastinate but i dont like purposefully being lazy.
I dont like heights too much either but if i can get a window seat and see the ground, i think its very pretty. im not a fan of take off or landings, but i manage. This biggest thing is my meniere's disease (an inner ear disease) which when it can't pop meaning its really hard too, it hurts really bad. I have flown round trips about 5 times. it gets a little bit easier each time.
I believe his name was Rocco Fox and the drug used was acid. Of course again my information comes from hearsay.
I myself have the same affliction! A trouble getting going, but no desire to be, and even a disliking of the idea of being lazy! That's why I enjoy to work on projects whenever I can. lol Art is difficult because with my computer around distractions are far to easy to encounter.
Oh ouch! I never knew you had an ailment! I offer you my sympathies for your inner ear! And I must say I am a little envious. Though it scares me a little I'd enjoy at lease being on one airplane! (provided I had absolute assurance it would land safely >.>)
and yea i hear he is paralyzed from the waist down, but not sure how true that is.
I enjoy being busy, i feel it gives me purpose, thee saying i worked myself to death might be true one day.
And yea if you look up meniere's disease you'll find out how bad it can be. I have had a couple episodes where i know im sitting but then the room spins and having motion sickness causes me to feel sick. its not fun when that happens and theres not much i can do to prevent those episodes.
And there is no way for sure to know if a plane will be safe or not. Your life is in the hands of the pilot and stewardesses. A bird could hit an engine, a thunderstorm might flare or something on the plane mechanically got over looked and the plane may go down. Nothing is safe, not a car or a boat. You can't control things that not in your control. So when you fly you just have faith that things will be fine and you'll make it to your destination.
As do I! lol hopefully I'll avoid the mortality of that lifestyle though as will you! Though I do admire how creative you are!
I can imagine not! That reminds me of what happens sometimes when I get sick and unless I have my head on a very specific angle I become ill to the point of expelling my breakfast. It's odd. Eardrops I think usually help with that though. Still, I know how unpleasant that can be so you have my sympathies!
o-o true enough but when a car or boat stall they don't plummet to the ground
crafting is my drug, if im not crafting, im not happy. i like to keep my hands busy.
i have tried ear drops and i can't stand having anything in my ears, not water, nothin. i freak out.
the thing with cars is you cannot control other drivers, so serious crashes occur. and boats can collide and sink. so a lot of things are out of our control and we need to accept that.
Writing, Drawing, working on small engines, I share your enthusiasm! I even dabble with the Organ!
lol I don't blame you. It is an unpleasant experience! And if there's too much in your ear and it lays in there for a little and the drops get warm it feels like someone spat in you ear! Bleh!
Well true enough I suppose.
Still, it sounds like you had a decent time despite some of the rocky bits.
