just now i have had 5 submissions abut a count of 2 ... !! ^v^

And now my counters have all gone back to normal. I think. Not showing any submissions just now so I'll have to wait and see if any show up. But maybe mine is back to normal.

For the longest time my counters said that I had 4 unread notes when I didn't even have any notes at all

I had that right after the last big outage, but it cleared up when they got all the bugs fixed and everyone got themselves back into their accounts.

Still though, at random times I will see that I have one or two notes, and I don't really have any notes. Most recent times was a few days ago

Sometimes I have a couple of ghost submissions/journals after nuking them en masse, but I've found that using the "Check/delete selected" thing instead has helped solve that.

LOL...mine were anti- ghosts. they didn't show, but they were there.

It's a direct result of the hack, after which 'restored' submissions acted odd. Basically if left some weird 'undeleteable' things in the system that are being cleared out now, causing the counters to go haywire. (Specifically, to save processing the counters don't actually check what you have right now, instead they check a cache that is updated both by you and the site. This is why you get 'This comment was deleted' notifications that are frankly useless. (What comment? On what submission? DETAILS!!!) They stop the counters going wacky.
