Sqeake, there's something I need to discuss. These commissions, don't you think your aware that these time-only openings are a bit unfair knowing others are booming to be first without letting others have a chance.

I know and respect your overwork because of your job but given the donations we made don't you think you would've use the money to help with your drawings?

Do you ever think about becoming an investment? They make big money.

Or at least have someone to help you?

I don't blame you if your becoming less active with your work.

I'll wait for the next. But at least think about it.

I still second this. I know shes had a back log before and stopped doing it for some reason, but I still think it would work best for the lot of us who cant get anything.

Seriously, Im more than willing to wait months for when shes got some free time if it means I KNOW ill be getting a spot than having to wait for a ten minute time frame I'm probly not even going to be around for.

I empathise with those who didn't get a slot, lord knows I've wanted this for so long ( <3 ) but please consider both the artist's feelings (and preferred gender pronouns) before venting your disappointment.

Congrats dr on the slots filled fast! You're an amazing artist and I actually think your current system is fair. It gives the most people a chance to try, not just those with the deepest pockets. Keep rocking on!

I totally agree with you SmallerGod, the system Squeakie is currently using is completely fair.
It gives everyone a fair chance to claim a slot

Thanks so much, SG, you're so sweet ^_^ Sometimes it's hard for people on the customer end to understand that taking commissions is a fairly difficult thing to do. Gods know I have a ton more going on in life than just art and I can only do so much. No matter what sign-up method I use, there will always be some who feel it's unfair. Kind of a lose-lose situation there. The most important thing is that the people who are commissioning me are happy with what they get.

Exactly, even if you took a long list and rolled dice for who lucky two get the slots people would complain about the 'dice being unfair to them' if they in particular don't win. Not to mention you owe no one anything aside from what you agree to do in regards to commissions. Now trying to guilt trip you with mentioning donations however IS unfair. Especially when you have done whole comics in the past as thanks for donations when you didn't need to do such.

Just keep doing what you can when you can and take the commissions how you find it the easiest to do. The less time spent on mulling about who gets slots the more time you can devote to the actual commissions. :3

I entirely agree with SG and Strawkitty. I've gotten close the last couple times, but I'm happier to at least see someone get a pic rather than no one. Plus the variation in the commenters being chosen adds to the fairness. It's fun to see what others come up with!

It would be great if it wasn't a problem, but it's exactly like you said, there's no "fair" method of giving out commission slots when you just don't have nearly enough time to fulfill the demand since someone is always going to be left out. :-/ But I'm glad that you keep doing art and commissions since I've been following you for 12-13 years now and you new works are always exciting to see. :3
