My RMFC Experience
I had a great experience at my first furry convention. It gave me the opportunity to meet some long distance furs I had only seen online. It also gave me some time to bond with my local furry friends. Even though this was one of the smaller cons, and the location was different this year due to the con's regular hotel being renovated, there were still lots of fun activities and some pretty amazing people!
However, there were a few negatives to my experience. Most people were bothered by the long, winding hallway between the hotel and convention rooms, but that was the least of my problems. The main issue was that I was only able to attend the con for the first two days. What's worse is that I had to go back home early on Saturday because of a spontaneous work scheduling. So unfortunately, I had to miss out on Saturday night's late events.
On the other hand, the weekend did hold some unexpected surprises. At the last minute, I managed to book a hotel room on Friday night. Sadly, it wasn't the con hotel, but since it got late, I figured it would be dangerous to drive on the interstate only to drive back to Denver the next morning. The big highlight of the con was when I sat at the piano and led a Disney karaoke for over an hour. It was a little longer than I intended, but I and my fans loved the music!
Overall, the con was a lot of fun, just the right volume for my first furry convention. I look forward to next year's RMFC, and I can't wait to see what my next convention will be!
