16bit pains...

From the Desk of Jack the Gorilla....
Well the infamous Ohio August humidity and heat recently killed my computer. So I've scrapped up 600$ and recently built a pretty decent machine if I do say so myself. So now begins the somewhat arduous task of getting my software installed and massaging out the few little niggles here and there.
BIG PROBLEM FOR ME; one of my quintisential programs I use for gaming will not work. It's old, came out during the Windows NT era 16 years ago. So every work around I come up with has failed. No compatibility mode, no 32bit mode, windows XP mode won't work on my version of windows, so I'm down to trying to build a god damn virtual machine for just one 50 MB program! Any advice?

I myself am looking into getting a spare Windows 98 laptop. A lot of my old DOS games will run on DOSBOX but never perfectly.
If you're looking for accuracy definitely invest in the genuine hardware
