So something has me riled up again. and that is people who like a different type of music and feels the need to openly disrespect another person's taste in music. namely something like those who like a relatively unkown artist like say Send Request. I found Send Requests song to connect with how I feel at times so I made a post with the chorus and a image I drew inspired from the song. and someone openly told me that the lyrics are cringy, which to me speaks of a privileged person who doesn't like that some people don't like conforming to social norms. I myself believe that social norms aren't always a good thing. while I believe that minorities are being disrespecting and people need to learn respect. at the same time I feel that forcing others to follow your likes in things like music or how you dress or act can be very very soul crushing. and this song speaks against social norms in a way that I just want to shout it at the top of my lungs. so while I believe that you have the rights to your own opinion telling someone that you think that their choice of music is cringy or garbage is NOT ok. and if you don't like the song then don't listen to it. don't go off on someone who likes something different then you.

You know what, I wish people would get off their high horse about kinks, music, themselves, clothes, races, and etc. Regardless, can you send me a link to one of their songs, I'm open to broadening my range of stuff.

That's really true and you have a great attitude. More people should learn to think like that.

Well, one of my favorite songs for the time being is "Who Taught You How To Hate" by Disturbed. Not just because it is from my favorite band, but because of the meaning behind it.

Hm, it makes sense and even without knowing the song I understand what you mean.

Well, some people don't respect things others love just out of principle. They only want to cause trouble, they need that as compensation for their sad lifes. We have all out tastes, not only in music, that counts for everything. Of course you musn't like everything, but that's no reason to bother others with bad words about what they love. Just give a shit on what that person said, critique is good, but that means not to take every opinion and insult serious.
