Always a inside Job with stuff like that. How else do they know who to hit, no reason to randomly hit someone's house. Property management workers who have access to all Apts buildings and come in and change your filters and check your fire alarm if you're not home, they get to see all your things and then tell some 3rd party about it.

Depends on your insurance. I know it's borderline personal info, but ya as long as you have "theft protection" on your policy, it should cover up to a certain amount.

That's just terrible! People really suck. It's not just stuff, it's someones freaking livelihood you take. I hope you carried insurance, if not, I am sure people will rally around you for help. The fandom is always amazing like that.

I was involved in a robbery at work once. Nothing of mine was stolen, but I stared down the barrel of a gun from maybe 10 ft away. It takes a while to sink in, and then you just don't feel safe. I remember that night we didn't want to go home.. we just went to one of those diners and drank coffee most of the night. It's a physical reaction, fight or flight has kicked in and even though we don't act on it, the adrenaline dump can make you feel awful.

Thankfully mine wasn't that serious. It was just a break in and grab. Happened while I was at work so someone was obviously casing me for a while.

Having your home invaded is probably worse though.. You still have to live there >_<
