This has been a good month for distractions. I haven't been able to write more than about three pages since the end of July. :P

yeah this month has been real sucky and i don't mean in a good way

It has been quite a thing lately. I'm sorry to hear how badly it has gone.

It's been a crazy month on this end too. It seems to come in cycles and hit all of us, or we're just that contagious. LOL - Got involved with some girl in real life - only to find that her artistic-crazy bent was just this side of real fucking crazy than anything else. Had to get her out of my life. Oh, and did she rage... but she is not my problem anymore. I feel tons better for it too, though as sad as it all was and pathetic. :/ Let's just say that the girl did not get thrown too far from the crazy tree - I dealt with her pops once. Once. That was I guess, an imminent sign of things to come. :(

The good: Finally rebuilt the computer from scratch from the ground up. It's crazy off the hook good and energy efficient in comparison to the older AMD 965 Penom-II x4 machine. And ungodly fast as it all runs under liquid cooling.

The bad: Universe always takes something away as soon as you score somewhere else. I was offline after the rebuild due to the battery packs in my UPS kicking it after 3 years of very hard life. Power is not stable here even on good, free and clear weather days. Living at the end of the service run as I do, my lights flicker when a neighbor's AC unit fires up or the farm runs its' electric belt drives to fill up the grain silos...and it's miles down the road, around the other side of the lake - yet it can be felt up here. :P

I just got the batteries installed and replaced, though USPS Priority Mail did their best to destroy and then lose the shipment. They showed up, wadded up in a box sealed with shitloads of tape, one end torn off, label barely intact. (And missing an invoice from Amazon/Supplier) They shipped it to the wrong post office out of the region first, sent it back, resent it from a central sort hub in Gainesville - adding two extra days of transport. If they were in the mail stream for a day longer, I am sure that they would have been destroyed or lost entirely. They arrived upside down, terminal protective caps all knocked off and crushed. :/ Pliers fixed them, I left a scathing review on Amazon - put them on my smart charger before stuffing them into the UPS.

The UPS is up and running now. All good, strong, fat and happy batteries stabilizing my A/C power and I am back online. So we're on the good, uptick swing for the moment and I dread to think what the down tick swing will bring this time. Not as adventurous I dare say as some of the things going on in others lives, but the bat-shit-crazy girlfriend drama had me on eggshells wondering on the exact moment I'll get stabbed. :P
