Bad Weekend / Commissions.

So, there are some times when the universe gives you hints and you just have to know when to get a clue.
This Saturday was definitely one of the worst days of my LIFE. It all started with the hubby taking off to hempfest with his friend and taking my car. I don't mind him taking my car, since it's more comfortable, but he forgot to leave me the keys to his car. So I was stranded all day. Did some cleaning, so it wasn't all that bad. Turns out that he didn't make it to hempfest because there was no parking, and whatever was available was $50+ for the day. So he said fuck it, and came back.
When a couple of friends came over later that day, I tried to fry some wontons, and the oil ended up overflowing all over the kitchen. I didn't get burned, just a couple of rogue drops here or there, but my kitchen was pretty much covered in oil. No biggie, just made something else. But, add insult to injury, one of my friends, and my husband, the man I married confessed that they didn't like Rocky Horror.
The entire night culminated with my car getting impounded and I had to pay about $400.00 to get it back (turns out the impound lot charges about $50 per day for keeping it, plus an initial $300 for towing it). Add some heavy fines by the police, and a really busted tire, and all I wanted to do on Sunday was crawl under a rock.
After getting my car back, the entire debacle ended costing me about $1,300.00
I normally have a stream that I like doing on Sundays, but I was so done that I couldn't do it. I was definitely not in a state of mind.
I really have to thank the guys at FurPlanet for helping me out. I seriously owe them one.
Next time I see a day start this badly on the wrong foot, I'm going to just stay in bed and not get out.
So, in order to recoup my losses, I'm going to lower the costs of my commissions to$40 for a full color commish, with a simple background, and up to three characters. If interested, please send me a PM.

sorry to hear that weekend went so shoddy bud. if ya want an ear to chew on, come give me a poke like always. :) *big hug*
