Closed species are a scam. Can't "close" a species without a full legal copyright.

I'm glad you're happy with it, but it's just a way for selfish artists to grub more money. Unless she has an actually copyright, anyone can make that species.

While they can legally make it, respectively, they shouldn't, and luckily in the fur community, it's frowned upon, and artists who attempt it are blacklisted real quick.

You might find the prices "selfish", but 9 times out of 10, the auctioned characters come with custom reference sheets, which alone are worth 70-100$ depending on how complex they are.

So initially, you are actually paying for the reference sheet accompanied WITH the character.

Legally, fursuits aren't copyrighted either, nor is any personal fursona, that doesn't mean you should recreate someone's fursuit, or take a character and use it.

Yes, a lot of closed species have high prices, but that's because we want them to be utilized, like they were intended to be.

If someone pays a pretty penny for a character, they're more likely to actually use that character and purchase artwork for it, and not just collect it for their graveyard.

If you don't like the idea of closed species, I suggest you leave FA, because there is quite a few of them, and yes people buy them and respect that they shouldn't make one.

I have never heard of a willow before. But I am not a fan of these close species kind of things. Just not my thing is all.
