I actually didn't go back yet. I sprained m right ankle last thursday and let it stay that way for a week (I didn't know it was sprained. I just stepped down and it popped) and the doc said to keep it in a brace for a few days. Hurt is last Thursday, went to the doctor the following Thursday.

A hit-and-miss engine is generally a gasoline run internal combustion engine where the cylinder that encases the piston sits in an open bath of gasoline. The evaporating gasoline draws off excess heat. Also, the spark pattern is unique in that a spark only occurs after engine rpm's dip below a certain point.

Yea, the ankle seems to be ok, though. Yea, I got an anti-inflammatory/pain killer medication since it was a bit swollen, still. I'll be fine, though. I've got too much wrong with me to let a sprain mean anything ^^;;

Oh cool! If I'm not mistaken, those are used a lot in the military in case of an EMP attack, right? The lack of need for electricity for the spark makes the engine work without electricity, correct? :D

Hmmm..... to be truthful, I have no idea what the military would use, although it makes sense. Well, I suppose the spark is still "electrical" in nature, but yeah you wouldn't need circuitry or batteries or circuit boards. My guess is that a hit-and-miss engine subjected to EMP and then left to rest would be able to run just like it did before the blast.

Yea, I think it's also more efficient with power and fuel since there is theoretically no fuel to be wasted in each combustion. Also, they may also not have need for an electrical spark if the engine's combustions chambers can be accessed. They could start it with any heat source, theoretically. Also, I've heard that EMP attacks mostly affect devices that are running when the EMP hits. I'm not sure but someone told me that it's because the pulse interrupts and/or the electrons or just flat-out fries them from an overload. Things that aren't running during the attack may still work; like vehicles that were not running or battery-operated electronics that were switched off. I'm not sure of the effects on loose batteries but I assume they'd be fine.

Yea, I get headaches often. I fathered a headache, if you know what I mean *sigh* He's in that part of life where all he wants to do is make noise and annoy people on purpose. As in we tell him to stop doing something and then he does that exact thing over and over again without taking a friggin break or rest. It normally ends with him being chased into the other room or getting a spanking, after which he either screams his head off (I sometimes wish he'd scream his vocals out so he'd shut up) or yelling about how mad he is at someone/everyone. Then he says "No" to everything we tell him weather it's in his favor or not and even to things that "no" is not an applicable answer. He's being spiteful in those cases. I sometimes just wanna slap him but I don't because it's considered abusive in some cases and I'd rather not risk that

Ah. Somebody's going to have to test this stuff - for science! It's always been a wondering in my mind as to whether the de-energized circuits would be fried, but it makes sense as you've put things. No electron flow = probably no damage unless the electrons from the blast induce a voltage that fries the board/chip pathways.

Ah, I kinda hear ya although I don't have a kid. Sounds like he has something going on where he is super bothered by something. He wants attention a lot, and not getting it makes him super upset. He'll just have to learn when it's appropriate to seek attention and when he has to just chill or go play quietly. Kids are funny about sort of 'locking up' and going nanners by saying no to everything when they're super upset. Has he seen a child psychologist as a just-in-case measure? Maybe they can tell you why he acts out so much. Some kids just love to test their parents though. Glad you don't slap him. Restraint on our part is super hard, but it's worth it I think.

Yea, I think the frying would come from the electrical current as it flows when the EMP hits; to say the flow becomes overcharged and thus frying the circuitry. In that sense, it may temporarily power on high-voltage systems that can handle a current while smaller electronics may fry anyway. There are a LOT of different EMP types, I'm sure. Some may surge and kill the circuitry, some may just flat out kill all the running things.

He's 3. None of the doctors will see him about things like that until he's at least 6. He's calming down now that I'm calming down it seems. I spent a few hours playing while listening to some music and it calmed me down a lot. A lot of the problems I'd been having were because I'd been mad for like a week straight because of his behavior and my mate didn't understand how bad it was to me. She helped a bit more than usual yesterday and that made things better as well.

Ah, I better understand now. Yah, sometimes the gets get ramped up when we do and it takes that much more energy to realize how to settle down so they will. I had no idea the docs wouldn't see him till he's 6. What kind of music do you like to listen to for chill time? It's good your mate helped out a bit more than usual too. I'm sure she sees now how important it is that y'all try to tackle this stuff together so everyone stays relatively calm.

Oh noo! I'm waiting for my godson to kind of go down the same road, but I'll try to be patient with him.

and tonight, she decided to side with him and his bad attitude and I'm considering leaving because I've had enough. She let's him talk back to me and then gets mad when I get onto him, then gets pissed when I so much as make him cry by either getting onto him or spanking him

What you said sounds pretty straight forward, really. I'll pray for y'all too. Did you throw in some instances of when you got mad and what in particular made you angry? I think she could act on that pretty good, but you'd have to discuss it with her to know for sure. :)

Yes, I gave her examples that happened on a near-daily basis so she hopefully got it now. She does have plenty to act on and/or change. I pray she does or I won't be here much longer. My heart can't physically take it.

Anger suppressants (Topimax) make me feel like crap and make my heart act up worse which makes me tired. I guess I won't be doing that. WHENMYHEART acts up, I get angrier anyway so it's off the list for me

I gotcha. Can't stress the heart on things or the ole ticker will rebel. At least it helps to keep you less angry, yes? I really hope things will get better for y'all over there. That's a rough situation to be in.

It made things worse. I'm always worse when my heart acts up.
I started taking my mood pills again even though I was doing better after I stopped

Idk. I'm getting back on the mood pills because it helped last night and it slows my heart just enough to make it better without making me tired... so I'll do that until it stops working again

Cool beans. I just hope that the mood pills keep that fine of a balance if it is best that way.

It was working fine for a while. My body builds a tolerance for almost everything. That said, The meds were becoming ineffective so I tapered off for a while and got better. I got worse recently so I'm back on them. The doctors say I should never stop taking them but they don't know me like I know me and they all wanted to change my medication when I told them these things happen so I just went with the flow of it

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, the doctors do their best to help, but in rare occasion I think they get off the mark enough to make things unintentionally rough.

I think it's more accurate to say they don't have enough insight of their patients to know what the medication actually does to the person so they think the person is making sound worse than it is or it's all in their head. I'm smart enough to know which medications screw me over (Hydroxyzine - my anxiety med - puts me in a daze for the entire day, makes me forgetful, and makes me want to sleep all day whether I'm tired or not. The doctors don't seem to understand this so whatever. I don't take it unless I'm having a severe episode anyway)
