Children and elders were present too. That is Standing Rock Sioux land. They have a right to be there, and have a right to stop the work beginning on the Dakota Access Pipeline. This country still has no shame attacking Native people, and the media has remained silent. This country sees Native people are seen as dispensable when it comes to profits; yet Native people continue to stand up for the water, for our rights, and we will continue to do so.
