Yes, it happens to me a lot, in fact it was so bad at on point that I got rid of an old character of mine.

I recently did a gallery sweep. it was mostly because my improvement over the past two years is so immense and my page really had no audience when i started up. i still have the old files on my PC anyway. lol

yeah I feel that way sometimes, but I keep it around just to remind me of how much I've improved =3

I remember looking back at drawings I did as a kid and laughed at some of em.

Im only a writer and not an artist, but some of my old work i do scrap. Particularly the purely cringy ones that arent original at all.

I still haven't gotten to the "it's so bad I wanna delete it" yet. I always like looking back and saying "I drew this piece of trash" and setting it back down.

I sometimes feel that way about my stories (my regular account on DA, this is my alt for obvious reasons), but sometimes I also like them at the same time. I was reading one from 7th grade that I found the other day. It was about an orphan that was gonna drop out of high school. For some reason, he was in trouble and the principal was gonna punish him with handcuffs and a baseball bat...

That will never see the light of day past the paper it was printed on! XD

At the very least, they serve as learning lessons as to what works and what doesn't.

Yeah, its actually why a majority of the artwork I start doesn't get much farther than the sketch-work phase. (much less posted)

No. If anything, looking at my older works only makes me appreciate how far I've come since then.
