WAH!!!!! corrupt file!

I was doing a pic in photoshop. It was turning out good, better than my other work... Then my PC ran out of RAM. So I saved it and restarted the PC.... Then the file currupted... :( T_T......... need to change this shit I call a PC..... WAH!!!
Secondly, do you have Virtual Memory enable? If so, how much hard drive space is it set to use?
Virtual Memory isn't as fast at read/write speeds as normal RAM (since it's actually a swap-file on the hard drive) but it's easy to prevent the "RAM full" error by setting its size larger. I've got 512MB of system RAM, and my virtual memory size is set to start at 1024MB and be able to increase to 2048MB.
Only thing I can suggest is perhaps increasing that page-file size to 4096 or something.
