A little note about critique

General
As an art student, I have learned the value of critique in helping an artist improve and be more successful in the future. As such, I have no problem with critique - when it is appropriate. I will normally ask for it while I'm still working on the piece from trusted friends and associates, but in the end I will use my best judgement for how I want the piece to look.
That being said, I have no problem with critique, but please, do not critique my work in the comments on the actual submission of the piece. I would much rather that you send me critiques in private. It makes me feel extremely self-conscious when people post critique in the comments unless I specifically ask for it on the actual submission. It also ruins the "magic" for others. Not everyone will notice the flaws (and there will be flaws - no-one is perfect, after all) but if you point them out then everyone will see them.
I generally do not seek critique on FA specifically, but if you want to offer yourself as a resource to me then feel free to get my attention.

I personally find it disrespectful to note someone over a critique; especially over tiny details. It makes someone look like a snob to go to the lengths of noting someone they don't know over a small critique over one detail or two. But that's just how I see it :^Y
I don't note people, not even over a "hello," since I have anxiety interacting with people one-on-one out of the blue. Really my apologies, I didn't know :^u
