This is how you painted the grayish GITD coloring on my eel toy, right? What about painting small details inside the mold, letting it dry, then pouring the toy normally, so it retains the textures of the toy while having intricate designs?

I have had very bad luck with that and would not recommend it. The paint does not adhere to the toy very well. You want the wet paint in contact with the toy, not the other way around.

Ah, okay. Is the Psycho Silicone stuff you use for painting thin enough that it can get a good color while keeping most of the major texture on a toy? Because FunVibes was having trouble with painting thick layers of silicone to get stuff to stick and color correctly, and that ruined like deep bumps and grooves and scales and whatnot he etched into the toy's mold.

Ehh, it turns into a glossy, smooth texture no matter what. Unless there is a LOT of pigment in it and you spread it very thin, you're going to lose most of the underlying texture.

Ah, okay. Just thought, since you said to use it sparingly, a thinner layer would be necessary to get the textures still on it.
