There's a modified version called 0CC-FamiTracker. It allows you to select as many expansion chips as you want, and adds enhanced compatibility between them.

I will have to check that out =) hopefully it supports a midi keyboard.

Which elements it might involve (just action, or maybe romance or adventure)
What's the setting of the story?
How many different pieces would you need?
Is there a rough timeframe for that project?

I have general theme ideas for the music i would like. I'll be able to learn music on my own eventually but to expedite my projects and not have another large thing to worry about would be nice =) Yeah it's to make music for me, through commission or other type of compensation

I know a guy that specializes in making 8-bit NES and Sega-style music, hes really good at it too, I could ask him for you.
