[PSA] Fursuit Head Liners
Was looking for a pair of half-chaps in my size. Wandered off to look at helmets. Realized these exist.
Search for : Headline It Helmet Liner
It is a sweat wicking disposable pad for those times when you plan to be in fursuit for the entire day. I realize that 2USD might be a bit expensive, but if you can afford a fursuit, you can spare a little more to keep yourself comfortable in extreme circumstances.
Slightly Related: Found a really nice sale. Dublin half chaps are being discontinued. You can get them for about 10USD right now. I'm at that awkward point exactly in between the children's large and the adult's extra small, but I guess I can continue wearing multiple pairs of socks underneath.
For Context: I'm planning to start training another horse after extension season, while I'm studying for the ethics exam. I promised :Samifur: a ride, so hopefully I'll have it quiet enough for beginners by the time he visits. If not, well... helmet. I do not currently own a horse. Instead, I sometimes lease from a rescue, but I've never managed to hang on to the same horse for more than a month. Once they're gentled and rideable, they tend to get sold or adopted, and then it's time to start over.
Rant: Every time I see "riding boots" that are not suitable for their intended purpose, I just... no. It's not okay. It's false advertising. They should be required to be called "knee high boots" "tall boots" or "riding /style/ boots". All I can think is "Gee. That looks really unsafe." The hard arch is going to make your foot slip and then you'll get dragged by the tread on the front. For the love of the great Aeons of Yevon, if it has a spike heel, it isn't a "riding boot". You're better off going barefoot.
Tangent: Freeeeeeeisians. There's one for sale not so far from here, and I want her, but I have neither the experience nor the resources for horse ownership right now. Life goals.
Art Status: No schedule changes. Muriat's monochrome should still be done before November and the wedding portrait is still on track for completion by May.
Art Status Edit: All Murait's references have vanished. Might skip over and come back to him when I have refs.
Upcoming Kiriban
Getting close to 2k watchers and therefore free art. Get your ticket in while you can: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7731651/
I realized that I forgot to post this in my last few journals. Sorry. It is still going and there are 13 more to go.
