How do people get their art seen?

Like is it just been good at what you do?
Is it luck?
Is it being in the right place at the right time?
Knowing the right people?

Personally I think it's mostly luck and circumstance.
'Cause there's some things I have used plenty of keywords on but they don't have better results than the ones I don't. Plus people seem to use the keywords for random, silly messages instead of their intended purpose but it seems to have no effect on whether or not people pay attention to what they make.
Do art trades with other artists. (seriously, this has helped me a lot)
Be active on other social media sites that the fandom frequents. I know that I have a lot of success with posting some WIPs and finished pieces on my Twitter account. (If you already post on twitter, tell me your UN please!) People retweet it and thats a great way to increase your audience, and get more people to follow you.
Have a unique style. Generally, the more stylized, the better. But you pretty much have this part down (: <3
I do tend to post WIPs on Instagram and Twitter. I've just gotten back into using twitter a few months ago. My name on there is SombraMalamutt.
I'm definitely trying to draw more, but I can only work so fast.
like oooh. that's how i get my art seen. i wear it. ^^
...That's about it to be completely honest. I myself am trying to 'get there' so I cant really offer too much input.
