I'm losing my mind.

How do people actually make their fursona and then be satisfied with it? Is it some sort of magic that I don't possess because I have been working on mine for a good 10 years and I STILL CAN'T PUT DOWN A FINAL DESIGN. Is it just easier to design when someone is around to bounce ideas off of or looking at others and their designs for inspiration(which I have done and ultimately just makes me depressed at how well-made their design is). PLEASE anyone share your wisdom with me because it literally makes me depressed that I can't do this. It's like this huge wall that I just can't overcome. I thought I liked how he looked before but I'm so put down by it now that I'm just so unhappy with it. I can't draw things I want to draw because I want my fursona to be in it BUT HE DOESN'T HAVE A DESIGN. Please.... any advice?

And once you have your design down, you can tweak it later if you tire of it, so for now just settle for what comes to mind and see how it fairs.
A second tip I'd say would be more the practicals of it. If you're looking to customize things I'd recommend just focussing on: Body type (fat, buff, athletic/skinny-lean) fur color/patterns, height, feet (plantigrade or digigrade), claws (and their color), and hair if you want it. Oh, and eye color!
I'd recommend making it close to your own body type/style but you can lean more towards your ideal body type/style as well! And once you have your idea down, stick with it and don't fret! Or slowly change it over time, as you change!
Others like you embrace change, or grow bored of things being samey for a long time. You may just like hot fresh new things and become disinterested in any one design staying the same for way too long. For you it might get boring seeing art of the same character, and you wanna spice it up with something new that you've never tried before. Sometimes it also has to do with self critique, or wanting to disconnect with something a certain part of a character reminds you of or represents.
