Patreon?

So Ive held it off for quite some time. But since Im getting to the point where Im REALLY suffering with commissions Ive been considering it further.
Ive been thinking of making a patreon. Because aside from commissions I earn practically nothing. Which means I never get a break. As soon as I finish one batch, or even before that, I have to take another. And as much as I love you guys its really beginning to grind me down and make me dislike doing art. Aside from my art, I only earn $120 a month, which isnt squat, and my abusive situation at home is beginning to get the best of me. I get no benefits or anything. I need another outlet to help me save up, and help me enjoy my life more where it isnt constant stress.
It also isnt helping my joint pain at all. I can hardly work because of it.
The only issue is, I have no idea how to do it. I dont know how to set one up so that it works effectively, so Id be asking someone for help.
What are your feedback suggestions? Id love to hear it, and if you can help me at least get one set up, Id appreciate that a lot.

You MIGHT at most entice maybe $50 worth of people right now without a comic already being available, those being your biggest current supporters, (which is about how it worked with me when I started; you seem to have more friends than I do so I put your number a little higher than where I started) but you definitely need to have pages out there before you can expect Patreon to be a thing that works for you.
As for rewards, my own reward tiers include things I typically wouldn't have interest in sharing otherwise (like works in progress and concept art for characters/environment, sometimes I'll do timelapse videos if I remember, I also do drawn answers to questions I let people ask the characters sometimes) and those are only for people who pay a little more; people who give me a dollar only get to see pages earlier than the rest, and that's it.
I've also found it wise to do pauses between chapters and only release new pages to Patrons during those time periods. People who have money but haven't already been giving it to you will do so because they want to see the progression of your project sooner than later. Like I'm in the middle of a large, "I need to build a buffer and figure out what stuff looks like," kind of pause for my own comic and as soon as I announced that, Patreon like, lit up for me. So stopping every so often is good.
Basically, don't offer too much that'll distract from the main point of your Patreon (which is your comic) and passive rewards (works in progress, early access to things you were going to do anyway, access to stock elements) are just as valid and good as personalized custom art pieces. Like I do have two tiers where I basically offer "commissions" but those are only for people who're willing to give me $50 or $100 every month and I only give them the opportunity to grab that from me once every 3 months, because the main point of my Patreon is still my comic, and not commission work.
I DUNNO I hope that helped, this has been my experience as a webcomic author/artist on Patreon and what has worked so far. It's very trial and error.
You're starting in a good spot if that's where you are right now. I feel like whenever you get around to actually working on comic pages (and I would definitely suggest doing like, a test run of maybe an 8 page long short story, just for learning purposes) you will attract interest, and your Patreon will gradually catch on.
I dunno. Set one up; maybe start off with just offering up concept art/mini sketch comics like what I see you do on Twitter for now. It can't hurt.
