Halloween Costume! (Help!!)
I was watching some Threadbanger videos on YouTube, and they inspired me to begin working on the Halloween costume idea I thought of about two hours ago. I wanna be...
... a zombie Beagle!!
Now, this isn't going to be a complete fursuit. This, instead, will consist of ears, a tail, handpaws and footpaws, both with claws, maybe something to help me walk all digitrade-like, clothes I don't mind ruining (Or I'll make them myself), a collar, maybe some of those cheap-ass vampire teeth I can get at Party City, and a lot of face paint. Oh, and a lot of red fabric paint, too.
Because of financial stuff, I'd either like to learn how to make all (Or most) of these things myself or get all (Or most) of what I need at a relatively cheap price. I'll make a more organized list later, but for now, I need a lot of the basic necessities for "fursuiting" (In quotes since this isn't really a fursuit) if I learn how to make all this myself or someone who can make me ears, a tail, and handpaws and footpaws with claws (And maybe digitrade legs) for a good price. As for a collar, I can get a simple one off of CollarFactory.Com should the need arise. If that ends up being too much, I'll figure something out.
So, yes. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Opinions, ideas, and recommendations are loved!!

Here's what I know about each part you're looking to do.
Ears= really easy if you wanna just put them on a headband or some elastic.
Handpaws= this is where the most sewing will pop up. mostly just tracing your hand and putting it together.
Feetpaws= Easiest to build up on some slippers or pair of broken-in sneakers. Get a block of foam from a fabric/craft store for the basic shaping, then teh fur goes on top. Also gonna need a hot glue gun for this, as it's mostly attatching stuff to what you've got.
Legs= If you want full legs, make the feet like i said above, but have the fabric go up a bit past your ankle, like a boot. Then you can either sew the leg part to that, or have them be seperate pieces and tuck the bottom of the leg part underneath. If you do the latter, sew elastic to the top of the foot part so it'll stay nice. Also might want to do that for the top of the leg parts, if you are making them separate and not like pants(which is much harder to do).
Claws= Best thing for this is Sculpey, if you dont want to get fancy taxidermy stuff. make them with a 'T' shape at the base, so you can push them through to the outside of the paw, then glue it in place on the inside. For feet, make smaller ones and just stick 'em on the outside.
As for the collar, you can always just check out a local pet store for something simple if it's just going to be a random costume. I got mine from collarfactory because it's for my personal character, and I wear it as a fashion accssessory.
Oh, and for fur shopping i recommend sites like distinctivefabric.com, and some of the nicer Ebay stores. That is of course if you can't find anything at your local fabric stores.
Hope that gives you a little idea on where to start! Also, lots of great people on YouTube have video tutorials for the actual construction.
I watched a few YouTube videos before.... I got the zombie idea from a Threadbanger tutorial on zombie make-up, and then got the "brain-eating Beagle" idea from the random thoughts in my head. I'll look into more vids soon. This'll be a difficult project, but thankfully, I have a good fiveish months to complete it. Thanks again! This'll be really helpful. There must be some way I can repay you.
Oh cool, I need to check that out! I love having a nice internet connection finally, 'cause I'm addicted to YouTube lol. Suit building is tough stuff, but you've got losta time to tackle it. Good luck! And to repay me....just do your best and get a bunch of pics up when you finish!! <3
Anyways, what I said was....
Sounds like a plan, Captain! *Salute!!* <3
Yes, YouTube is amazing. YouTube Poops were my life for quite a long time. So were Anime Music Videos... I almost finished one, a Loveless AMV, but then my computer crashed and aaaaargh D: Now I watch a lot of random stuff, like a bunch of different tutorials and Fred. Gotta love Fred.
Ahh yes, gotta love Fred. Oh geez, YTP. I love the classics, like the robotnik song, or "Mah Boi is no good." I saw one a while ago when the put the audio from that crazy chocolate guy from Spongebob to Mello from Deathnote....ohmahgawdXDDD My current addiction is watching fursuit parades and the like.
Oh mt gosh. CHOCOLAAATE. I love that episode.
I love "Mario Just Won't Admit He's Losing," a 31-second YTP that still cracks me up every time, no matter how stupid it is. I also love the "I'M PRESSING CHARGES" videos, especially the "White" versions. Yeah. Crazy stuff right there.
My friend sent me a link to "Popufur" a couple of days ago. That vid's so cute XD
OMG, I love those!! haha
Aww!
