Sorry for the lack of activity here. I've been at the hospital with my dad who's recovering from surgery to remove some cancer in his rectum/colon. Things went really well at first but a day later I guess a part of what the doctors stitched together broke, and things quickly went south from there and he had to go back into surgery where he fell into critical condition. That was thursday... They managed to fix whatever broke but they had to remove parts of his intestine? I think? Everything is sort of a blur... He's doing much better now, so I'm finding myself being able to relax again.

I've been up at the hospital everyday, sitting with my dad and keeping him company. Trying to keep a strong face but I've been terrified. That's a dad, in the bed, at one point in critical condition. Kinda fucked me up for a bit. I've also been dealing with family who has been flying down to see him. So it's been incredibly busy here, needless to say.

I apologize for my lack of communication here but it has honestly been the least of my worries. As I've said things are calming down now and we started to get my dad up and moving again. Just waiting to bring him home.
