Take no one at their word, but test everything against what you know to be true: the Bible. Be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11).
I had the opportunity to speak with several of you over the past few days. Many of you shared the sentiments I expressed in the previous journal. Some of you had well-reasoned dissenting opinions. I respect the opinions of those on both sides. Ultimately, we have to humbly and prayerfully walk in the direction we believe we are called. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with my reasons for stepping away from the fandom, I wanted to share one final treatise in the hopes of stirring others to bolder action on behalf of the Christian faith:

I was heartened by the number of notes I received from people offering to take over the account. Honestly, as I reviewed the theology of everyone who offered, there wasn't anyone I felt would be too unorthodox to represent the group. Ultimately, the decision came down to experience.
JudetheRat will be taking over, effective immediately. I've known Jude for a good, long while. I'd venture to say he's been representing Christ in the furry community longer than I have. He's counseled me in the past. I trust him implicitly and expect that he will lead the group aptly. Please welcome him, and join me in praying that his time as the leading-servant of C-F will bring about a great awakening within the furry community. :)
In Christ,
JP

As far as whether or not being a furry is ok or not ok I think you need to look at your reasoning behind being part of the fandom. Think of it like this. You can like a thing...say a movie character...and it's ok. But when you being to worship that movie character like an idol and put him above God, then it ceases to become ok. I believe there is a need for Christians amongst the furry community. How can we hope to reach out to the those without Christ if there is nothing we can relate to them on? The fandom to me is no different than say the Star Trek fandom. Yes, there are the rule 34s amongst even the Trekkies, but the Christian Trekkies know what parts of the fandom to stay away from. I believe the same is true for the furry community.
I recommend you think very long and very deeply about the true reason you call yourself a furry. What are your motives? Is it just the furry art you enjoy or is it something else that's deeper than that?
...ONE of us had to say it.
Congrats on your new position! I look forward to seeing what you bring to the table.
You absolutely can be both Christian and a furry, but agreed with Omega that porn crosses the line.
And welcome Jude! I trust you'll be a good leader of the group.
Long time no see. Hope things are going well.
