My favorite month!
Mood: Coffee Buzz
Listening to: Every Silent Hill Song
Reading: The Monstrous
Watching: The Strain (season 3)
Playing: This War of Mine... because apparently, I wasn't depressed enough :P
Eating: ~Real~ Ramen... not the packaged crap
Drinking: Coffee... Duh!
October is here! My favorite month, finally. Fall temperatures, salted caramel frappuccinos, and horror movies all day/every day. I already have my Halloween stuff up in my office XD It's also my New Year - those of you in the know understand - so time to make new resolutions. And the office will just need to deal with me playing the NoSleep Podcast and my All-Hallow's Mix every minute of the workday (...Must be the season of the witch...).
My articles are out, game books are coming shortly, and more work on the horizon. Editing a full book, writing another, and hopefully a few more articles. I may even throw my lot into the Dungeon Masters Guild - which seems to be taking off like gangbusters. So, I'll be a busy, little kirin tail deep in grotesqueries and night-terrors. But I loves you all, no matter how flaky and quiet I am. It's wonderful actually ~wanting~ to work until I drop, rather than dreading it.
Tonight, I think I'll be watching a few horror movies... need to finally see Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.
You have any plans for this delicious month? Any favorite horror movies or books?

I need to edit my short story collection but it's hard.
In working on a story that I'm not sure if I'm happy with yet, the post war story is proving to be tricky.
I understand about short stories... I keep fighting with a couple I want to get out this month,
I'm also gearing up for nanowrimo which I'll try to use to get a novella finished that will fit in my second short story collection. Its intended to bookend my fantasy novel I'm working on. :) So much editing!
Writing-wise I'm working on transcribing/editing my alleged fourth novel. It still needs a lot of work, but it has been pretty fun for the most part. Everything you've gotten into sounds like a lot of fun, and a lot of work, but it's wonderful to know it's so satisfying! Here's hoping it all continues to go so well for you!
Nice! Editing is always the hardest. First draft is from the heart...second/third/fourth draft is from the head. I wish you the greatest success, angel!
Fall for me is bitter sweet. I love the colour of the forests, the nip in the air, warm days and cool nights. Weekends spent shooting skeet or prepping SUV's and gardens for the coming winter. A time for Cesars and Manhattans by the fireplace.
But Fall is also the end of the pool season and lazy hot summer days with cigars and cold rum drinks by the otter "pond." Putting the pool to bed every CDN Thanksgiving weekend is a depressing time for me. I liken it to having to put my dog down....</3
And Fall is the harbinger of Winter, a time of SAD, snow and the commercial fest that was one the celebration of the return of light.
I miss fall in Canada. The colors, the crunch of leaves, the smell of woodsmoke. I used to spend half my time wandering along the Rideau Canal. Or trudging the snow to go down to Younge Street for midnight shawarmas XD
I hope you and the pups have great fall and winter!
