I like it! I was trying to figure out how Dug was getting his commands without a handler present...then I realized it was most likely from the collar itself using ultrasonic sound signals. We wouldn't hear them, but Dug could. Just simple ones like sit, stay, fetch, come, etc.

That and they probably had the voice actor there to do it live via radio. That collar is pretty bulky.

Oh no doubt of that. Reminds me of the "Haunted Garage" I helped a friend in Broken Arrow, OK, set up one year. We had an animated 3' tall witch to whom I added a two-way speaker and mic. Kids got really freaked out when the "witch" called them over by what they were wearing. <Wicked Witch of the West voice>"My what a pretty werewolf. I had a werewolf once. He lived! Yea-hah-hah-hah-hah!" But my crowning one was a Hogwart's Sorting Hat, fully automated by remote control and an internal radio speaker so it could talk. We used it for my nephew's 10th birthday party. I was the hat's voice and ran the radio controls.

OK I know this is supposed to be cute but all I can think of is how golden retrievers are responsible for a lot of dog bite attacks (more than pit bulls) and how stupid these people are for going up to a dog they don't know and petting it.

More per dog? Because there are tons of goldens relative to other breeds. Aren't they the most common breed in the US or something?

Nope. It was totally unscripted. They had no idea. As far as dog bites retrievers are #3. German Shepherds are #1 and Chow Chow's are #2.

The difficulty is finding accurate research that isn't biased on some way. That said I suspect you're at least partially correct.
