So I was thinking... My family and I are doing alright. Got through the hurricane alright and we're just waiting for the trailing rain and winds to die down a little. Worst is over though, and it seems nothing important was broken. So all in all I'm safe.

Indeed, it's a good thing power and water remained in service throughout (well, we had a couple quick brownouts). Guess we were a bit lucky.

Me too. These storms are among the most annoying and aggravating things when they kill power and water. I do not want to relive going without plumbing for two days. D:
