Cravings

When you get through something, you think it's over, that you're finally past the hump and won't have to deal with it anymore. But then something tickles at that old nerve. Maybe it's something you read in passing, maybe it's a random thought that sticks just a bit too long, maybe it was an inocent joke, but whatever it was brings up old memories and emotions. You start asking yourself the same questions you asked then, start wanting what you used to have despite knowing it wasn't healthy. You know it'll pass, it always does, but for a little while you feel just as hurt and helpless as you did when you first fell apart. At least each time it happens, the pieces are a little easier to put back together.
