Hey, Originally I wanted to make a fursuit rant video on this topic to be on my YouTube channel. But for some reason, a non furry friend talked me out of even planning to make it. As it may cause a retaliation towards me by those assholes that dress as clowns. Because I did videos way before I got my first fursuit. And unmasked as my real life human form. I foolishly didn't use Facerig as I didn't have that program uploaded on the computer nor have different animations of my avatar which would be my fursona like a fellow furry youtuber, Kotherix. So people would know what I look like unmasked and that means I would be an easy target to get bashed by these that are involved in this stupid criminal activity. So I thought it would be best if i rant here on Fur Affinity where it would be safe.

For those that don't know what I'm talking about, as I heard. there are some numerous clown sightings late at night in the US that seem creepy but get this. It's a marketing campaign for some remake of "It". A horror movie about a killer clown that is based on a book written by Steven King. I know that there are random cases of people who dress as clowns in full costume and makeup and that are seem to be stalking normal bystanders for no other reason but as a PR for this remake. Even I thought it is cringy and creepy as fuck. No wonder I prefer the company of other fursuiters then clowns. But not that I'm 100% anti clown as I befriended a photographer who is commonly known as Twisty because he mostly cosplayed as a character of that name out of Freak show and another even though that she doesn't seem to wear makeup of a clown but her fursona which is also a fursuit she has is an anthropomorphic mouse that appears to be a clown. I thankfully have nothing against them what so ever.

But this is what gets to me the most. Back in that country of United States, there has been a crime-wave of people dressed as clowns only to rob people and place and numerous random bashing. But Bruzo, why are you concerned about something that happened overseas and not where I am? Because there are also a crime wave of copycats here in Australia of the same type of dickheads that dress in full costume and makeup as clowns doing the same type of shit and I won't be too surprised if it continues through Halloween. I mean seriously. Dafuq is up with this ridiculous and stupid trend. Don't these people have anything better to do then to commit such this utterly stupid crime. People like them are the reasons that in some places, it's illegal to go in public dressed in fursuit let alone a mask. And if this continues it will completely fuck up Halloween when it is the one day of a year that is deemed appropriate to be anywhere in the world to be in public dressed up in a costume especially a fursuit of any sort. And now if it continues those fucktards will fuck it up as it would be even illegal to wear a mask nor makeup in public for Halloween even if it's to go trick or treating. I can imagine now for example little jimmy wants to go out as Batman for Halloween and can't wear his Batman costume complete with a plastic mask but instead only allowed to wear a t-shirt with a logo and pretend to be batman for candy. Or if a kid has got a fursuit made by Lavafox but cannot go in public wearing that even for candy because it's apparently been made illegal.

This is getting beyond a complete unfunny joke now. And as I'm talking about clowns, this is not intended to be a pun. It is so uncool. It is stupid as well as harmful. And this needs to stop right now. Because even I do enjoy Halloween and I personally don't want it to be ruined be some real life Joker wannabe. And I live in a country that doesn't traditionally reckon Halloween as a day on the calendar to celebrate. Neither do anyone who enjoys dressing up for this occasion.

I really don't want to write journals to bitch on things I think as trivial as this but I really need to vent out on this issue in some form or another.
