Question: Find x > 3 such that ln(x) < x^(0.1)

Answer: 3 < x < 3.05972 (approximately)

Basically, after 3.05972 and up, the log of x will always be greater than the tenth root of x. Any number between 3 and 3.05972 will work for the equation. ^ ^

I basically solved it in the easiest manner possible - I just kept going digit by digit until I got close enough to an approximate answer. There's probably a definite way to solve it by using calculus and derivatives or something like that, but I didn't feel like getting that involved with this little question. lol

Let's just go back to metric, it's easier to convert in itself and it's much more accurate than conventional measurements anyway. That's why it's used in almost all scientific calculations and measurements (I'm a physics major at an engineering college, so metric is everywhere and I love it. :3 ).

Conventional is just... eww.... America tried to switch to metric in the 1980s or so, but the people were too stubborn and now we're stuck with inaccurate and not easily converted conventional.

Conventional conversions are so weird when compared to metric conversions. For example:

In metric, there are 100 centimeters in a meter and 1000 meters in a kilometer.

In conventional, there are 12 inches in a foot and 5,280 feet in a mile.

Conventional conversions are just so random and not consistent at all. Metric is very easy to convert, as all the conversions are based on 10 - Milimeter (.001), Cenimeter (.01), Decimeter (.1), Meter (1), Dekameter (10), Hectometer (100) , Kilometer (1000). Very consistent, very accurate. :3

Basically, metric is better than conventional. ^ ^

ya, I have a friend who's brother-in-law got me all the early Final Fantasy games that were for the early GameBoy/NES/SNES including FF Tactics Advanced and Chocobo Series, put them on a disk with a special program that lets me play them on my PC. And yes, they do rock, except one, I forgot the name, but my friend says it was the ONE game that was made in America, so I guess that explains why it wasn't as good....
