And that's it for this journal. Acctually I never talked to her, maybe she hit the button by accident? Maybe its because I hate patreon? Either way, I cant fave her stuff anymore...

Ah, yes, how dare you want to make a living as an artist.
Jasonafex for example has four of these e-begging accounts, some of which involves funding VAPORWARE! We haven't gotten another build of Amorous in about 6 months yet the patreons are still being charged for it. And that Bare Backstreets patreon of his? No activity since the first build came out.
Seriously, its fuckin' panhandling and it needs to stop now.
What you pointed out is just as much the fault of their patrons letting them get away with shady practices. I will openly admit that Patreon is a broken system. It's rigged in a way that makes it easy for thieves to steal content and, going the other way, for content creators to milk things.
With that said, there's potential for abuse in any system. Should medicine go away because some corporations gouge prices or some doctors run pill mills? You tell me. And while I know what the response to that is ("you can't compare this to something like medicine"), yes I can. Medicine is an industry; art is an industry. A couple bad apples shouldn't spoil the entire bunch. Literally every system includes a means for abusing it. Get over it.
There's furthermore a big gulf between begging for money and having a tip jar. That's what I and many other artists use Patreon for - not a means to hide content, but just a donation box where people can say "I like your work, please do more of it." By that logic, any waitress who gets a tip is panhandling. Nice.
I'm seriously getting sick of this attitude that everything needs to be free. You're basically saying to artists, "your work is nice, but only when I don't have to pay for it." For years the business model for selling content outside of commissions has been for artists to put out CDs or artbooks or digital download folios for fans to buy, and nobody ever seemed to mind that. Patreon makes it easier to profit off of their work, and for fans to support and view said work. It also makes it a more tempting target for fucks to whine about.
So what, exactly, is the problem here? Is there a problem with people like me, who use it as a tip jar and host no content there? Is there a problem with artists who work hard to produce new content every month and want to be compensated for it? There's a critical gap in your argument that I'm trying to broach here.
Maybe I should just come out and say it: your argument is the same entitled, whiny shit I see from everybody else who hates Patreon. "Things should be free because I don't like paying for them! Anybody who makes money off their work is greedy! I want free porn!"
Whether you're letting the actions of 2-3 awful people paint your perception of everybody else who uses it or if you're just cheapskate who doesn't think anybody should profit off of your wank material, go fuck yourself. Your attitude is poorly-thought-out dogshit.
Artists aren't any different, bud. Frankly, an artist having paywall content makes MORE sense than artists who do not. It's their hard-earned talent vs your hard-earned money, but you don't get to decide how they distribute it. You only get to decide where you put your money.
Tl;dr: shut the fuck up and stop judging creators for charging for content.
