ALRIGHT SO
I want to be able to visit my man for Thanksgiving and Christmas
but in order to do that, i am required by law to have winter tires whenever i go into canada in the winter.
I have a spare set of rims that I was going to sell originally, but now I think i'm going to use those to put winter tires on (it doesn't snow where i'm at, so winter tires are usually useless here).
Only thing is, winter tires are expensive as fuck
AND there are times of the year that Snoqualmie Pass (the mountain pass that separates Eastern and Western WA) requires snow chains by law.
I'm having a bit of an issue finding chains that will fit my car, BUT
it will be somewhere around $500 alone for me to just get proper winter tires (all-season do now count, as they are not rated for heavy snow and ice and don't count for BC laws).
I am open for smaller commissions, still, and you can see what i'm open for here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7735465/
Please please message me if you can help out~ I'll update this journal once i get more quotes, but i'm going to set the goal for about $500 for now
EDIT: So I was quoted $558.21 from Firestone, so the goal is adjusted as such~
Winter tire Fund: $220/$559 (-$70 to get snow chains)

Great to hear that you're gonna make it. I think you can get just the chains for the tires and not the tires themselves. Where in BC does he live? Can't you just take the I-5 to the BC-99 and not have to use snow tires? Maybe laws are different.

OP
Sadly no. I have to go through snoqualmie on i-90 and i take the road through ephrata, dry falls, etc and then pass through kettle falls into Rossland, BC then into Trail where he lives. and talking to his grandpa, winter tires are required by law october 1st through march 1st in that area, so i dont want to risk being turned away at the border for not having proper tires after driving for seven hours
